The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT) is no longer accepting applications for Federal grants from the Land and Water Conservation Fund. A small amount of Federal funding was available this year, and the application period has closed. At this time we do not know if funding will be available next year. Watch this web location for updates.
The State of Kansas opted out of the Recreational Trails Program for Federal Fiscal Year 2013, in order to make even more funding available for trails. This will involve changes to the program. We are in the process of finalizing the details of how these funds will be allocated to local projects. With these changes, we will continue to accept applications for funding until November 30, 2012. Any prospective grantees who submitted prior to the August 1, 2012, deadline need not re-submit; we will retain your application and it will be placed in competition with all other applications. If additional information is required of any applications currently on file, those applicants will be notified and allowed a reasonable amount of time to submit the additional documentation.
New applicants, use the application provided below.
