ARCHERY
Long bows, recurve bows, or compound bows that are hand drawn, that have no mechanical device that locks the bow at full or partial draw, that are designed to shoot only one arrow at a time and have no electronic or chemical devices attached to the bow or arrow, with the exception of lighted pin, dot, or holographic sights attached to the front of the bow. Arrows shall be equipped with a non-barbed broadhead point with all-metal cutting edges, and each arrow used for hunting shall be at least 20 inches in length. Crossbows shall not be considered a long bow, recurve bow, or a compound bow. Permanently disabled persons possessing a turkey permit, any individual possessing a youth big game permit, and any individual 55 years of age or older may use crossbows or bows with draw lock devices while hunting, as permitted under KAR 115-18-7, by application and special permit only.

CROSSBOWS AND LOCKING DRAWS AS AUTHORIZED UNDER K.A.R. 115-18-7
Legal in any season for any individual possessing a youth wild turkey permit or any individual 55 years of age or older, crossbows of not less than 125 pounds of draw weight, using arrows not less than 16 inches in length that are equipped with broadhead points incapable of passing through a ring with a diameter of three-quarters of an inch when fully expanded. A wild turkey hunter using crossbow equipment may possess non-broadhead-tipped arrows while hunting if the arrows are not used to take or attempt to take wild turkeys.

FIREARMS
Shotguns and muzzleloading shotguns, 20 gauge or larger, using only size 2 shot through size 9 shot.

LEGAL ACCESSORY EQUIPMENT
For the taking of wild turkey during any wild turkey season: nonelectric calls, lures, decoys (except live decoys), blinds and stands, range-finding devices that do not project visible light toward the target, and optical scopes and sights that do not project visible light toward the target and do not electronically amplify visible or infrared light.
